While durable and meant to last a lifetime, stained glass pieces are, in fact, made of glass! They are fragile and should be handled with care at all times.
When displaying your piece in a window, we DO NOT recommend using suction cups. They can fail, and your piece will break if it hits the ground. While we would be more than happy to take your money to repair your broken piece, let's try to avoid that.
Your piece will come cleaned, waxed and polished. To maintain, wipe with a microfiber or soft cotton cloth as needed. Do not use any chemical or acid-based cleaners. You can clean the piece with water and a mild dish soap. Gently dry it off immediately after washing and finish with a waxing product. Apply wax with a soft cloth and let it dry until a haze forms. Use a clean cloth to wipe off the wax and buff until shiney.
When cleaning or waxing your piece, never lay it directly on a hard surface or apply heavy pressure. We recommend placing it on a towel or soft pad to avoid damage.
Oxidation of the metals used will occur naturally over time. If you notice white oxidized build up on your piece, it can be removed with baby oil.
Our favorite wax to protect and slow the oxidation process is linked below, but any pure carnauba wax will do the trick.
